I think what makes good con versation is asking people questions about themselves. Or talking sometimes about current news events. Lots of people like to talk about themselves, so it is an easy conversation starter.

I think two points of convo are Active Listening and Good Eye Contact. Do those two and everyone will want to include you in their convo.
