How does it benefit them? All the progress that has been with women has been under a Democrat President or Congress?

Especially suburban women?

Is it because women in the suburbs care about material things like clothes and shoes?

To the critics of whatever we do I would say-S*d you all we will not help or 'interfere' in any of the worlds trouble spots
We will become 'isolationists' which we have been before and just defend our own country.

Then see what happens!

The British government is now effectively the Rock's biggest backer. Should the treasury give shareholders a nominal price and take it into public ownership until such time the BoE gets its money back?

Lots of people say the US went in to Iraq for oil, but I don't buy that. Where is the oil going? Who gets it? Who profits from it? If it's true then why are prices rising in the west?

Actual facts and figures would be good.

This was one of thems attempt at answering my last question

In an interview with the head of Metodo 3 , published today in El MUNDO newspaper , the lead investigator said that he talked to the Mccanns playing devil´s advocate and asked them some very hard questions.
He said after meeting them and speaking to them it was impossible to believe that they had harmed their daughter.
THis is a point echoed by other Spanish journalists.

That wasn't the same detectives that they are paying to further their cause was it? Duh

During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the Palestinians were told by the Arab aggressors they were coming into Israel to destroy it. The Palestinians welcomed the slaughter, and left Israel to make way for it. Of course, Israel ended up winning the war. This doesn't sound like stolen land, it sounds like sour grapes on the part of the Palestinians. Where am I wrong?

Mrs McCann sounds Liverpudlian or Geordie, Mr McCann Scottish (Glasgow?). In both these areas people historically, working in heavy industries, had to face all sorts of difficulties, so a stoical attitude was an attitude people would adopt. If people just got emotional and knocked over by difficulties, they would not have been able to carry on effectively. Italian/Spanish/Greek/Portuguese, ie Latins, are often very emotional - perhaps due to the hot climate. So maybe it is misunderstanding (like the Louise Woodward baby shaking case in North America) and a bit of racila prejudice against Brits behind their presumption of the McCanns being guilty. What do you think ?

Isn't it ironic? Prime Minister John Howard of Australia had expected his treasurer Peter Costello to take over his position as the new Prime Minister should he had won the election and stepped down later when he retired.

Apparently, it is not going to happen anymore.

Turkey is looking to join the EU, and yet it STILL refuses to acknowledge the genocide inflicted upon the Armenians, Assyrians and Pontic Greeks during and after WW1, where over 1 million Armenians died and the Assyrians lost two thirds of their entire population. Some Circassians and Georgians were also killed.

Turkish writers and commentators who mention the genocide are often arrested, prosecuted and jailed for doing so.

Should Turkey be pressured more on this issue, should it be taught in schools, along with the Holocaust, should Turkey be barred from the EU because of it?

NB; Its a fact of history that it did happen, the wounds are still there for the 3 races concerned, mainly because turkey wont admit it!

Also, the Germans, and even the Japanese to a certain degree admit the atrocities their nations committed, why cant the Turks?

Last year I got chatting to a girl from the internets and we eventually met, had sex, and ended up forming a relationship. She was a great laugh and even better in the bedroom, however a month or so in she told me she had left her husband for me. At the time I was very shocked and a bit worried (he was an ex-Para) however I eventually called it a day after finding out she as a complete nut job.

While many of us were taken aback by the extent of Panorama's bias in favour of the McCanns, the original intended programme by producer David Mills would have amounted to nothing less than journalistic advocacy in favour of the McCanns. BBC management instructed the re-editing of the programme and the producer walked out. We also read that while Kate and Gerry accepted the eventual broadcasted version the rest of the family were said to have been far less happy.

Were the BBC right or wrong to interfere with Panorama's journalistic independence ?
