Jeremy Erskine has filed for refugee status because he doesn't want to return to the states to face his rightful charges. Why would Canada release him from detention when he is such a flight risk and escaped from jail in the first place?! How does the CIC decide such a thing?

That all those that have caused the riots at the detention centre should be deported back to the country from which they originate, without any chance of appeal. Why should British taxpayers money be spent on imigrants who take the British system for granted. Send them home!

I don't understand why this is such big news? I must have missed something...

Eight US attorneys are fired by the Justice Department. Why were they fired? And why is it such a big deal that they were? People get fired all the time. So why are there some calling for the Attorney Gerneral's resignation over it? What makes these eight attorneys so special that everyone is upset over their termination?

Can someone catch me up on what I missed?

The crowds are chanting this two-word phrase, and there are signs everywhere. I suspect it is an insult, probably obscene, so I'm not going to type the phrase, not even in the original Portuguese. The translator tells me that it means "It Is Bush", what does it really mean? Please be clever and subtle if necessary, so this question does not get deleted for bad language.

Since he knowingly lied to us on a 100 issues about Iraq before he attacked it, I believe he should certainly be retrained by congress from attacking Iran.

Maybe there are some good reasons to attack Iran, but the only reasons I've heard were from Bush, and I simply can't trust a single word from that wolves mouth.

Impeachment would be a beautiful solution.
