There's a site: www.ratemds.com that has been in the news lately.

It's much like the ratemyteacher.com site where you give your doctor a rating based on your opinion of them.

Well doctors are in an uproar about this and they want the site to disclose people's names who give them a bad rating.

Do you agree with this?

I mean frankly, if you are a good doctor you will get a good rating.

Mind you, I can see where someone could seriously damage a doctor's reputation as well, but wouldn't the overall speak for itself? Besides, doctors can respond to the comments, much as the teachers can to the comments students make about them.

All these sites are anonymous. Do you think that doctors, teachers, or any of these people have a right to make a site disclose people's names under these circumstances? They are suing for "libel".

Thoughts?

We require kids to get vaccinated against MMR, Polio, and many other diseases. As a conservative, i don't normally like the government involved in peoples lives, but this is for the protection of our children, and in some cases, protecting those children from the stupidity of their parents. cervical cancer is a huge issue for todays women, and anything that will prevent that seems to be a good idea.
The whole "It promotes girls to have sex" argument is BS! The vaccine no more promotes sexual activity then seat belts and air bags promote reckless driving.
If parents would rather risk their daughters health then get them the vaccine and actually TALK to them about sex, Isn't that almost child abuse? I know my daughter will be getting the shot in a few years when she is old enough.

Refering to the current wars and their non action against greenhouse gas emissions. The US is the biggest contributor of the death of this planet. Other countries are stepping up and taking responsibility..why should the US be any different?

Stock market is falling apart, mainly because of delinquent and default mortgages. Banks knowingly made loans to people not qualified. BushCo wanted a strong RE market. A lot of builders and contractors needed the work and they vote Republican.
Now the house of cards is tumbling. Add in oil prices surging because of NO ENERGY PLAN from BushCo and the inability to curb the appetite for profit from W and Dick's oil buddies.
I will not even bring up our Attorney Generalgate.
Its time for impeachment. Cons feel free to answer, but we don't care what you say, you are irrelevant.

To me, the war in Iraq mirrors what happened during the Vietnam War. Should all us hippies band together again and recreate the marches that brought the ending of the Vietnam War. Would you march?

Who are the people who benefit from war? How can they think that they have any God on their side when God says in all languages that we should not kill and that we should care for each other. Living things are more important than money or possessions. I agree that Saddam was a dictator that the Iraqi's needed help to overthrow, however that was achieved long ago. Why are troops still fighting? Who are they fighting? Whose giving the orders and why? These are questions that I have asked many people to no avail. Perhaps you know, then we can get some of the hippocracy stopped.

Iran is screaming about America trying to re-write history with the new movie "300". I am at a loss to understand why. This is a movie about a true and factual battle between the expanding Persian empire and the Greeks. The movie keeps the entire story of how the battle came to be, how it progressed, how it basically true. Where does the re-write come in?

If you think this is seriously a re-write please explain why and why this should be such a big deal as we talk about a war that happened in 480 BC between the Greeks and the Persian empire.

It's manhattan so of course you have to be on gaurd but do I have to worry about getting arrested or anything like that? What should I expect?
