They always implode them at night, partly because they like to see them off with fireworks.... but also because the implosion of a thirty-something story hotel causes a LOT of dust, which poses serious visibility problems for people who are driving in the area.... crazy late hours equals much less traffic.

I'm really upset I missed it, darn it. I have to keep my eyes open for the implosion date of the New Frontier... that one's next.

I heard it was to minimize the traffic and people in the area for safety reasons.

Because they done fireworks too, and you can only do fireworks at night.
