That it cost the Goverment, 3cents to make a Penny. So why doesn't, the Gov., pay-us,{the common folk}, to recycle all the Pennies, we have, "stashed", in our homes. They could pay us, say: 10cents for every 7 Pennies we, Recycle/turn-in, to the Banks in U.S.A. We could avoid, Fraud, by settin limits? I'm no, Economics Major, but what do u think???oh ya, how many Pennies do u think u have in ur house? Me, at least, a 1000, & proll'y, more like, 2500 !!!!

Because if he HAD done such things, and was willing to admit it, he'd have done so months ago when he was captured.
Typical american tactics; don't bother to worry about getting the REAL guys, just find some shlep and beat him till he "confesses" to whatever you want him to.

Robert Mugabe, a brutal megalomaniac dictator is systematically destroying his country and torturing his political opponents. Blair, yapping at the heels of Bush, went after and destroyed the Iraq ruled by Saddam Hussein - why not Robert Mugabe?

Tony Blair has just apologised for Britains role in the slave trade. What right does he have? How many modern britons bear any responsibility for the slave trade? None! Surely its like asking the italian govornment to apologise to britain for the roman invasion of britain, and the mongolian govornment to apologise for Genghis Khan! Also, why does no one ever mention that african states and tribes grew rich selling their own people(or opponents) as slaves to the europeans, americans and arabs? Shouldnt west african nations and tribes apologise too? Shouldnt the arabs apologise? Black slaves were being transported to morocco, tunisia and algeria well into the 20th century? People forget that britain abolished slavery first, and used force of arms to fight european, black african, american and arab slavers throught 19thC! People should get over their hang ups! As an Assyrian i could demand an apology by britain for selling my people out to the muslim arabs after WW1 too!

Jurors on Wednesday recommended the death penalty for John Evander Couey, who was found guilty last week of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and murdering 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford

Jessica Marie Lunsford was abducted from her Homosassa Springs, Florida, home February 23, 2005. Her body was found nearly a month later, buried within sight of her own home and behind the house where Couey was staying with a relative.

She was found wrapped in garbage bags, holding a stuffed toy dolphin, her hands bound with stereo wire.

Investigators said Couey abducted Lunsford from her bedroom. Jessica died from asphyxiation after being sexually assaulted, according to a medical examiner's report.

In the past the reason given for the price hike in gasoline were mainly a shortage of supplies. But it has been proven that a shortage cannot be the possible without manmade influence such as deliberate slowing down of drilling or deliberately not building enough refineries to handle the high demand for gas products. However, there is possible another more obvious reason for the gas hikes such as no competition with other sources of energy that can take the place of gasoline like wind and solar, electric technology that the voters turned down in the last election that would have brought about the right kind of competition to help the price of gas products down. The next time someone comes out with a measure to help bring down the price of gas like another source of energy like proposition 87, lets vote yes on it and run these greedy price gouging oil executives back to the bargaining table!!!!

and throw money at african countries, whilst at the same time turning a blind eye to what is happening in zimbabwe right now? having seen the horrific pictures of morgan tsvangirai's face, i wonder whether events such as live aid, live 8 and campaigns such as make poverty history are a total scam. how can you possibly throw money at african nations, when those which have dictatorial regimes continue to mistreat it's own people? what should blair and co do about this situation? does the west have a responsibility to the zimbabwean people in getting rid of an evil despot, in the same way that they did with saddam hussein out in iraq or not? are blair and bush really africa's saviours- or it is just a load of bull? by the way, no silly answers
