Because the Arab masses regard the Israeli State as having been created by stealing Arab land. It suits most of those currently in power in the Arab world to condemn Israel as a focus for the discontent of the Arab peoples - discontent which could easily turn against Arab governments as is now happening in Saudi Arabia.

Actually, the fact is the Britain owned Palestine, not the Palestinians. It was not forcibly taken by Zionists after the British withdrawal, it was given to create Israel at the same time other parts given to create Lebanon, Jordan, and current Palestine, by Britain, under the auspices of the UN.

Palestine was never a sovereign country, never in the history of the world, and traces their existence to the same instant, the same documents as Israel. To deny Israel's right to exist is to deny Palestine's as well, and Jordan's, and Lebanon's, and Syria's. Perhaps you'd like to void the whole deal and bring back the British?

The British saw the violence between Muslims and Jews, and Muslims and Christians, and decided it would be better to partition the area. The violence isn't a result of the partition, the partition is a result of the violence.

There has been a conflict for more than 55 years. It started when the British army withdrawed from Palestine and let the Zionist gangs like Hagana take control over the coastal cities of Palestine. Then the State of Israel was created in 1948 on the lands of the Palestinians who were made homeless. Since that time the Palestinians are trying to make a change although Israel occupied the West Bank in 1967. The Israelis are struggling to kick the Palestinians out and the Palestinians are struggling to liberate their country. Zionists wanted to establish their state in anywhere in the world, then they changed their minds and decided to establish it in Palestine, using the religious motive, since there was a Jewish State in Palestine 2000 years ago. And the Palestinians will not give up their country, so violence will continue till someone who has the power pushes them towards peace.
