But never fear, I'm sure at tin-foil hat HQ, excuses are being drafted for Sheik Muhammad as I type!

Many Americans are very psychologically invested in the idea of American invincibility from foriegn military attack. When that idea is challenged by cold hard reality, they retreat into a psychotic break with reality - that's why all of the conspiracy theories have been cooked. up.

Also, Americans are very myopic and self centered. Rather than learn about WHY so many Saudi Arabians hate America so much, they'd rather believe some crackpot theory about how Americans blew up the towers. As a nation we need to be more outward looking, and to understand how our country impacts other nations.

But that's hard to do.

It's easier to believe the stupid conspiracy theories!

Also, many of the conspiracy theories really ARE great stories, and we all know how much we love to be entertained in this country!

Trying to understand the 68 year long Saudi Arabian-American political and economic relationship (the root cause of the 9/11 terrorist attacks) is far less exciting than listening to a great mystery story!

it sounds as though to me that maximum folk conspiracy theorists initiate with a theory, and then seem for evidence, ignoring each little thing that would not help their theory. only for the reason that there is no sufficient explication to offer a proof for each element of an adventure does now no longer advise the government of a few secret employer is reliable. i do no longer continually evaluate the whole element in respected comments although this is extra probably the are retaining up embarrassing mess ups, or that they are going to no longer admit they don't be attentive to what befell, than that they are masking up a conspiracy.

Don't worry, the lunatic fringe will discount this. They have never been long on facts, they prefer innuendo, it is easier to shape into a conspiracy.

They'll probably tell us he's really a CIA operative out to discredit Muslims.
