After the old lady swallowed it, she decided she was going to continue her life as a vegetarian. She promptly coughed it up, and spit it out. The chewed-up, swallowed fly now had the look & consistency of licorice. Black licorice, to be exact. You happened to be walking by at that exact moment, craving some black licorice.

Because you are an old woman and it was in her pie, she lost her glasses. I can't see a thing without my glasses I have had times I have wondered what I ate. Since you are old and people pick on you anyway, you don't want to ask them "did you see that fly I just swallowed?' NO, You proudly keep your mouth shut, eat another piece of pie and hope you don't get another fly. Even praying the first one flies out of your mouth and no one see it.
