"I am shocked and deeply distressed by the apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defense Forces of a UN observer post in southern Lebanon"
"The co-ordinated artillery and aerial attack on a long established and clearly marked UN post ... occurred despite personal assurances given to me by (Israeli) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that UN positions would be spared Israeli fire."

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan 7/25/06

"But you need to look at the events of yesterday,” he urged. “The shelling of the UN position, which is long-established and clearly marked, started in the morning and went on till after 7:00 p.m., when we lost contact.”

“You can imagine the anguish of the soldiers and the men and women – unarmed military observers – who were down there in the service of peace,” he said, stressing that the peacekeepers were in frequent touch with the Israeli army, pleading with them to avoid striking their location"
Kofi Annan, 7/26/06, Rome

It appears Israel does not want the UN. to witness their Genocidal war crimes.

The Israelis kill innocent women and children, UN peace keepers, and the U.S. backs them 100%. They violate every human right and claim to be fighting a just cause. Hezbollah is not the Lebanese people, it is a small organization. But once again Israel massacres innocence and the Americans turn a blind eye. Can someone please define the word "Terrorist" because for some reason if a government "terrorises" and kills innocent bystanders, that's ok. But if an illegal organization does the same thing, they are monsters..........a contradiction I believe.

Also the fact that the Jewish community control the finances of the U.S, it's basically a case of the "tail wagging the dog". So the U.S. will never stop supporting the Jewish cause, no matter how much innocent blood they spill.

NEW YORK (July 27) - Exxon Mobil Corp., the world's largest public oil company, on Thursday reported quarterly profit surged 35 percent to more than $10 billion, driven by yet another quarter of sharply higher oil prices.

The results sailed past Wall Street forecasts and sent its shares to an all-time high, but quickly triggered a fresh wave of outrage from U.S. lawmakers and consumer groups angry at Big Oil's profiting handsomely while gasoline prices soar.

"While American families get tipped upside down and have their savings shaken out of their pockets at the gas pump, the Bush-Cheney team devises even more ways to line Big Oil's pockets," Rep. Ed Markey, a Massachusetts Democrat, said in a statement on Exxon's profits. He is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee.

It's a sad situation that I think this Administration is covering up or refuses to report. Since their tours have just gotten extended and none are coming home, what would you do?

Does anyone have any stats on this?

Israel is the biggest problem in the middle east. Israel is the only country in the middle east who has nuclear weapons and Israel keeps threatening all the countries around it. Israel also feels like it can invade any country any time and it usually invades parts of Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt and Syria. Who will stop them? They are not any less terrorist than al qeada and they are not any less innocent than nazis of germany.

"The words of a Canadian United Nations observer written just days before he was killed in an Israeli bombing of a UN post in Lebanon are evidence Hezbollah was using the post as a "shield" to fire rockets into Israel, says a former UN commander in Bosnia.

Those words, written in an e-mail dated just nine days ago, offer a possible explanation as to why the post -- which according to UN officials was clearly marked and known to Israeli forces -- was hit by Israel on Tuesday night, said retired Maj.-Gen. Lewis MacKenzie yesterday."

Time to taste foot Kofi. Mmm Mmm isn't it good.

Why does the news broadcast want to sell the audience on the fact that every person on camera are all buddies. I personally wouldn't care if they acted like they were co-workers, and didn't always consider each other amusing chums. I don't always come up with a great segue when transitioning topics with my friends.
