"The words of a Canadian United Nations observer written just days before he was killed in an Israeli bombing of a UN post in Lebanon are evidence Hezbollah was using the post as a "shield" to fire rockets into Israel, says a former UN commander in Bosnia.

Those words, written in an e-mail dated just nine days ago, offer a possible explanation as to why the post -- which according to UN officials was clearly marked and known to Israeli forces -- was hit by Israel on Tuesday night, said retired Maj.-Gen. Lewis MacKenzie yesterday."

Time to taste foot Kofi. Mmm Mmm isn't it good.

From poster: I more suspect the command from whoever ordered the strike was something like "I don't care what that building is, take it down, its in the way."

This, by the way, is the correct tactical decision in a war zone.

JUST LIKE they use women & children as shields and hide their weapon caches in mosques.... which, after they are destroyed they use as evidence that non-muslim countries are at war with Islam.

the POINT is that the islamofascists hide behind whatever innocent life they can and that they are COWARDS. Get it?

Israel deliberately targeted the building; they used very precise missles, according to all accounts.

I don't know if they deliberately attacked a UN building, but it was clearly marked, it had been there for a long time (some numbers I have heard are 10-20 years), and the UN observers there asked them not to hit it (and, if I remember the stories correctly, saying they wouldn't).

Now, this last bit isn't definate proof of intent, but it is enough circumstantial evidence to raise a great deal of suspicion. I more suspect the command from whoever ordered the strike was something like "I don't care what that building is, take it down, its in the way."

Wrong wrong wrong. If that is true and lets assume it is than it becomes the duty of Israel to warn protect and provide safe passage to the UN troops and they Knew that if the Israeli defence has to be told what thier duty to UN troops are they are unfit for command. Murder criminal negligence indifference to human life all comes to mind. This if true makes for a really nice GUILTY verdict.

"Well officer why did you fire into a crowd?" There was a drug dealer ............You killed civilians "Yeah but the drug dealer your worship" Guilty

Did they do anything to protect warn or anything human before bombing . NO they killed them and didn't care about the lives of the UN observors

No they bombed knowing what the outcome was going to be or likely to be they are really f- guilty . Your statement isn't a Kofi insert foot it's a Israel didn't care and went ahead knowing what they were doing - thats called dileberate and they should be made to waer the shoe that so clearly fits.

At the very least they could have allowed rescue teams to go in but NO they didn't another dileberate act.

The real question is why unarmed UN observers were sitting in an exposed position like that. They should have been pulled back previously to a safer position.

I am sorry but the evidence you offer up is ridiculous. It appears the UN Post was deliberately targeted.

Yes, Israel army did. So israel army deliberately target innocent people in Lebanon, hundreds of them dead, more than one hundred children dead, and so Hezbolah deliberately kills israeli people with that rockets. this is the only truth, only the blind cannot see it. this is a dirty horrible war,and ,no matter who's wright, finally, everybody dies.
