I'm sure organizationally there is room for improvement. Maybe money shortages. Does the US govt want to both portray them as, and ensure that they are, ineffective. Maybe we dont want others making decisions contrary to ours because we feel cheated with just the one vote... you know since we bear the lions share of costs. What would it take to get the UN back on track as a true world body that responds in crisis situations, mediating disputes to promote world peace? Should they maintain a UN armed force or is that a failed strategy?

Of course they are of Lebanese origin, but they cant be all there on summer vacation! There are about 300,000 Lebanon Canadians, so 1 in 6 are out of the country! I have my deep suspicians.

They are so mean and dont deserve to be in america....I hate those evil asholes, the soldiers protect us and thats what they get...they fricken died and they are laughing at the familys...i hope the rot in hell cuz that is not fair to the familys who are mouring there fallen family member...if they do it around here im going to flick them off and cuss those assholes out... maybe even try to get them to attact me so i am leggallly allowed to hurt them....who knows...they need to shut up and quit being asholes....if u are going to protect them in this..come back on so i can add details and we can debate....and this is way over free speech (atleast it should be) so dont give me that crap!

I read recently that " newspapers and specially TV news have the power, and use it, to change the way we see the news. And specially in cases of conflicts and wars, reading/seeing too much of the news can stop people of thinking for themselves about the situations and just take it like they see it" (paraphrasing)
It kept me thinking about it... so I'm looking for new input and ideas.
What do you think about this? Is good to kept oneself on the top of the news or sometimes is better to just know the bottom line of things that are happening and try to know more about it from other sources?
