Israel tries to show restraint in making war. Can you imagine what would happen if Cuba launched rockets at Florida? Or if N. Korea launched at China? There would be little left standing. But Israel is trying to do the minimum to stop the attacks.

But I admit it is tempting to drop a Daisy Cutter near Damascus just to show off a little.

It is one thing to talk about invading a country and blowing it up, and another thing entirely to actually do it.

I suspect that the last thing Israel needs is to escalate things into a bigger regional war.

A better way to deal with those countries is via UN sanctions - and this process is already getting started.

good question..and why doesn't the US help them and be done with them for once and for all???

Well, the reason is that the cowardly Hezbollah are hiding among civilians and while they don't mind killing civilians the US and Israel try to avoid it as much as possible.
