It's a sad situation that I think this Administration is covering up or refuses to report. Since their tours have just gotten extended and none are coming home, what would you do?

Does anyone have any stats on this?

For those of you who are skeptical, do a search on the web. It seems that each year since the war started, at least 20-something soldiers have taken their own lives.

The government stopped publishing the suicide figures after 2004.

Extended stays, 120 degree heat, no food, and equipment that isn't decent; being kept away from their families for a longer period of time than anticipated.

Sometimes I guess it is easier to do something that seems to end the pain our soldiers are feeling over there. But seldom gets reported, and is certainly a tragedy for everyone.

I think there are a lot more than we hear about. In 'Love My Rifle More Than You', Kayla describes the memorial service of a fellow solider who killed herself. No mention was made of it being a suicide and they were discouraged from talking about it even though they had been told in a regular class that you should report someone who is showing signs of depression.
I think it has less to do with the Administration (I can't believe I just typed that!) and more to do with the "boys club" of the military.

I have no idea the targeted numbers, however is the maximum it has ever been. The professionals say it's since of : a million) Stop Loss wherein military individuals are being compelled to stick means beyond their enlistment and a few beyond their retirement date. two) Much longer excursions with out depart, as scheduled earlier than the excursion. three) Some vets seeing 4 excursions in Iraq, that was once unprecedented. Then there may be the mental causes : a million) Mass mind harm from the ied explosions. The Army has stated that's anticipated that a million in four squaddies and Marines will come again with extreme mind trama and submit stressful pressure. two) Higher pressure on households than usuall. They are compelled to stick longer with much less depart stressing the household worse. three) Higher divorce/dishonest price of spouces left in America. four)Important household dates ignored that are meant to now not were like birthdays, lacking main ime whilst youre kids are developing up, or births in their kids whilst stationed in Iraq. five)Higher pressure for spouces at house in their partner getting injured or killed in Iraq because of the duration of the struggle and the top damage/casualty charges.

the administration doesnt control what the media reports, they would find that stuff out and report it, think about all the other crap that they dig up.

if that were true the media would find out, they try to do anything they can to hurt the administration, even make up stuff that isnt true. not saying that the admin is good, but the media is just as crooked

They don't report them that die after they are in the hospital and die of their injuries. Sure, there is a lot of covering up stuff in the Bush Administration.

It's more that how many Iraqis commit suicide then American soldiers.

They are the ones that are getting killed for just wanting to practice their religion.
