You could make the same argument about Africa and Asia too.

1. Everything that happens in the world has repercussions elsewhere, so leaving conflicts alone may wind up biting your behind later on.
2. Intervention in a conflict may make it worse than if it was just left to burn out on its own.
Weighing the above options is part of the difficult decision process that heads of state have to do on a daily basis. I don't envy them.

Well yes thts true. But the same people have been living there for more thousands of yrs. Unlike some places we know where one kind comes and wipes out a whole race and forcefully brings another as slaves.
