I will be moving in to my own apartment during the first week of the year. I am 20 years old and have a five month old puppy. I play video games, watch TV and use the computer often. In an apartment, what can I do to keep my energy bill down? I have a PC as well as a laptop, but I use the PC far more frequently. Would it be better to turn the desktop off completely when I am not using it? Or just have it enter some sort of energy saving mode? Will running several game consoles be a drain on my energy? HELP!

I believe it is either a Juniper or a Spruce but none of the pictures I have seen of either look exactly like what I own. I purchased my tree at a store in the mall and she said I have a juniper. I bought a book on them, but the ones in the pictures look nothing like what I have. HELP!

My fence on one side shows the braces/cross beams, and the other two sides its all flat like what "would" face the street.

Some boards are rotten and I want them changed-yet if its not mine-why bother you know! Also- I have outdoor art and climbing vine that can just cover it- so what IS MINE?

Oh-just ask the neighbor- that won't happen- we are the boheimians in this neighborhood-my back yard is my only self expression! I am literally moving all my stuff out back to make the front generic looking to please the homeowners assn. OR [seniors with nothing to do organization!] No offense to seniors!

I'm actually an artist- Masters Degree in Fine Art-yet can't put it up at my home-kinda sucks you know! Yet the neighbor has concrete skunks and deer! Oh gee!

My room doesn’t stink, but I just want it to smell lovely when I get home from college. I’ve used scented candles, pot-porri and incense sticks, and they’ve all been cr*p. Any tips?

I am looking for new loo I saw one I liked, it was a close coupled toilet and it appeared to work in a different manner than usual.
The area that the 'waste' fell was much higher than normal and at the back there was longish drop to the 'U' bend, the salesman did not know how it worked?
I believe the water level may be higher in the loo than normal and when you flush, the water level rises slightly before dropping and removing the waste.
Is this correct,
what are the advantages,
and is this system a good flusher.
Many thanks for any help

The house I am thinking of would have 8 sides kind of like the end of some crystals. In the middle would be a pool in a similar shape. The front of course would be the entrance and on the back I would have an addition added that would be rectangular in length which would be my art studio and greenhouse. Is this possible?

I'm trying to save money on the heating bill and wondering if it makes any sense to install a timer on my hot water heater so that it's not constantly heating itself during the day/night when I don't use it. Or will this just end up costing me more money because when the heater does kick in, it will have to reheat all that water from cold rather than just consistently heating it all day.

The cold water drips out in a stream, but not the hot. This is a Glacier Bay two handle kitchen faucet from Home Depot. The book talks of the aerorater.
Are there any plumbers out there.

I'm putting away my Christmas things, and I don't have much space. We don't have a basement, just an attic for storage. I can't lift the artificial tree into the attic. Do you think it's safe to store the tree in the garage? Is it safe to store the knicknacks in the attic?

I have little bamboo plants in small glass vases that grow in plain water but after a while, I notice some moss surrounding its roots. It is unpleasant to look at so I regularly rinse them off. Should I leave them alone? Does it benefit the plant in any way?
