800 square feet and I would say it would cost about $400.00.
I heat by woodstove and that's about how much they cost.

This answer has many different varibles to take into consideration besides square footage and bedrooms...you only begin with those things..you also have to consider whether you are heating and cooling a basement, a split-level home, if you are planning on doing any additions to your home ( say changing a garage into a den). how many windows are in your home, how well your home is insulated and so on and so forth. Normally for an avg insulated home ( say 3 bedrooms 1-1 /2 bath) a 3 ton unit can suffice, ( in our business this full job can cost between 3200.00 and 3600.00) THIS will also depend on where you live and competive prices..Heating units are now much more effecient than say even 5 years ago and can have a tremendous influence on your heating bill. Also prices will range according to which sear rating you purchase.. the higher the sear, the most the cost..however that in turn saves you in the long run on your energy bill.
Also note this is cost is usually for what we change a unit out for ( in other words, if you are replacing a system with an upgrade)
Now if you do a job ( new construction~new home) the cost can be a good bit higher..up wards towards 9,000 and up..due to having to install duct work, wiring, copper tubings and such.
Hope this helps you somewhat in what you were wanting to know...Happy New Year !!

Depends. Replace the entire system or only part of it? Replace for a different type, say electric for oil fired hot water? That could be 3-4k for the boiler and several more for baseboard pieces parts and labor.
