some say freezer...it works but never gets it all out.
some say dishwasher...NEVER do this as it will kill your dishwasher over time.
I have found that the best way to clean any candle item is to put it upside down in the oven on a low setting. allowing the wax to melt down and away from the item. normally make like a bowl out of tin foil to put on the rack under the item to catch the melted wax.

the main effective way i've got got here across is to place the votive holder in a field of warm water, to soften up the wax a sprint. Then, making use of a blunt knife or comparable gadget, wreck up the wax so as that it will come out. Then merely wash out the votive holder with a kitchen sponge that has a scrubby part, and it would seem new back.

put it in pot with some boiling water. Melts right out. Microwave works too BUT u must have the little METAL thing at the bottom out of it first

Soak it in hot water until the wax becomes soft then scrape it off w/ a butter knife

Hot water, or wd-40. or you can use a lighter and heat the wax then immediatley take off the wax, watch not to burn yourself.
