we have had a pool built in cyprus its 1.6m deep end, but only 0.6m shallow end , which is not deep enough to swim in, they tell me its built to a european directive , but cannot produce this to me

How to get rid of Fire Ants in and around the house. What can be used to kill them and wont hurt kids,animals.

We have the Fire Ants everywhere outside and now they are coming in the house. They are all in the carpet. What can be used to kill them and won't hurt kids and animals. I have alot of animals that are outside with the fire ants. Please help...Thanks.

What do they call those things that keep the door from opening all the way?

On old hotel rooms and appartments, they have a chain that clicks into a track, which I think is called a "Door chain."

But nowadays, they usually have these funny things that look like a tuning fork with hinges on one side, and it flips over onto a knob. It does about the same thing the door chain does, but I don't know what it's called, so I can't find out much about it.

I think different companies give it different names, which makes the whole search for it harder. How many names can you think of?

How do you cut your grocery bill significantly?

I would like to know the "frugal" way to grocery shopping. Which supermarkets in the southeast (preferably Florida) is the most economical? Is purchasing the Sunday edition ($1.00 for the Tampa Tribune, for instance) for the coupons really worth it? Share all your cost effective tips with me, please. I shop at Publix for all my needs, and it can get quite expensive despite I absolutely adore the service I get. Sometimes I buy groceries for people who are economically disadvantaged, and buying these families groceries in addition to mine is getting very expensive. I am not complaining since I want to continue to help them but at the same token I want to know how to save lots of money with groceries and other items of necessity. Thank you in advance as I appreciate all the advice I can get on this matter.

Would you recommend someone who is in their early 20's to be a house owner?

I have been thinking about buying a house...I am still in college and do live on campus during my term. Some people have been telling me I am too young but I have an understanding of what goes into owning a house since my mother owns one. WHat is your opinion?

What are those bugs that fly in your house, they arent a beetle, the look like a roach but they fly?

I live in Austin, Texas and I cant seem to find a name for them, they are annoying and fly. They land on you and run, what are they?? And why are they only around in the summer?

should i be worried about bug i found in my room?

i found what seems to be called a "Diaprepes Root Weevil" crawling around in my room and after researching, noticed that they are not typical of canada (where i'm at) butthe carribean. i went to cuba a couple of weeks ago and think that it might of slipped into my luggage or something, and made it's way here. should i be worried about finding more or was the little fella' a stray?

i take great pride in my thick,luscious, lawn,but?

was just out on it and noticed slugs crawling all over on top of grass.at least 3-4 per square ft. never saw anything like it before???????? will slugs harm the lawn,my pride + joy ???? lol..if so,what do i do,too dark to spray now..can someone give me advice on whats going on and what to do?????

where can I find decorative braid?

I purchased trimming braid from a Company called Home -Sew. I used the 25 yds I ordered and ran out. I need about another 5-10 yds. I found the braid at JoAnn fabrics, but it is over $2.00 a yd.
I recieved Home-Sew's catalog and it looks like they no longer carry it. Does anyone know where I can purchase decorative braid at reasonable price?

new birds started laying..2 chickens(white foghorn, R.I. red) , a bobwhite quail and a chukar partridge?

not sure whos doing the laying, the eggs are about 1/2 size of store bought chicken eggs. We found 8 white eggs today all the same in a box inside the coop...how long will eggs stay fresh after laying???..will start checking daily..lol...birds were all newly hatched babies april 4 this year. thanks
