Did you lose everything you owned? Did the insurance company pay up? I'm just curious because in Central Texas, mold is a huge problem. Every house, in one neighborhood in particular, gets torn out and rebuilt. The insurance companies started dropping people a few years ago.

I have tried putting old pyracantha (very prickly) twigs across all known/evident routes of access, the cats merely pick their way through/across.
I have tried a couple of plants that cats are said to dislike, 'my' cats don't know they are supposed to dislike them.
I believe I have heard of so called TIGER SPRAY but I would like a user opinion before I search for it. If any cats care to answer the question...honestly, then I would be pleased to hear from them especially.

Well three of my freinds and I are moving into a house. The bedrooms are 130 sqft, 130, 110, and 100 sq ft. Two of the guys and I agree that we should draw straws, or do it completely by luck. However one of the guys is adamant on getting one of the big rooms. No matter what I try to negotiate, he won't budge. Now, changing the rent price is out of the question. Basically we would all like the big rooms, but in fairness, we want to do it by luck. How do I solve this problem?

I have a houseplant called an anthirium. I feed it plant food just about every other watering, and I let it dry out a bit between waterings. I give it indirect sunlight throughout the day and have done everything I know to take care of it, but it seems to keep getting yellow spots on some of the leaves. Does anyone know why this would be happening, or how I can stop it???

We have had mice in the past, usually during the winter months. We are always able to get them with bait or traps, but in 8 years I still have not been able to figure out how or where they are getting in. The worst was a few years ago, they were somehow getting into the oven. Yes it was gross, and No, I didn't use the oven for a long time. I have heard that they can't chew through steel wool, but when I have tried that, it doesn't stay in place very well. I would really appreciate any tips, but please keep in mind that I have small children so it can't be anything they can easily get into. I have used an exterminator service before, and all they did was hide packets of bait behind things, and charge me a huge fee for what I can do myself. Last night I saw one scurry across the kitchen , then into the study/office where there is a bunch of stuff around so I don't know where he went. He is probably still in here with me, peeing all over the carpet. Please send any ideas that you have

i was wondering if anyone else has seen a pretty spectacular butterfly which i saw last week. We have had a lot this year, normally the boring pale white variety but last week i saw one i have never seen before, one half of the wings was coloured bright red and the other a really beautiful sky blue colour. I live in gloucester.
