we use granular salt in our water but the imersion heaters lasts about 6 months. test on the water shows all is fine as we have our own bore hole.we had a specialist in who says that the heaters need to be taken out when the cylinder is not in use, surely this is not right.

It is round with a chord that you pull to draw out the air from the kitchen to the outside. I can't find any place that still sells them.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with Pantry Pests, those ugly tan colored moths that usually hang out in your kitchen, and what can you do to get rid of them? I guess they are also known as Indian Meal Moths. I don't know where they are coming from (there are a few of them flying in each of the rooms in the house) but they are really annoying.

Here is a pic of what they look like:

Thank you.

I'm talking about Piggy Banks: those ceramic pigs that you keep your coins in as a child or, in my case, as an adult.

Who first made them? And why pigs? Are pigs usually associated with money?

Impress me people.

love the look of a platform bed and i am considering purchasing one in the next few weeks. But I am worried that this bed will end up making me hate it.

My bed already is just a box spring and a mattress on the floor and to be honest I LOVE IT ( box spring broke about a year ago so I had to ditch the plain frame), but I am scared like the mattress will slide on the platform. I am a wild sleeper and I know you dont want to hear this but you know what else goes on in a bed...I do not want the mattress and us to end up on the floor.

I use throw rugs in high traffic areas to save the carpet but I am forever having to reposition them. Each step moves them just slightly and at the end of the day, they're out of position.
