love the look of a platform bed and i am considering purchasing one in the next few weeks. But I am worried that this bed will end up making me hate it.
My bed already is just a box spring and a mattress on the floor and to be honest I LOVE IT ( box spring broke about a year ago so I had to ditch the plain frame), but I am scared like the mattress will slide on the platform. I am a wild sleeper and I know you dont want to hear this but you know what else goes on in a bed...I do not want the mattress and us to end up on the floor.

I don't know what the platform beds are like now, but the one I had when I was younger had a deep lip around the edge that kept the mattress from sliding off the edges. It was about 3/4" - 1" high, as I remember. Yes, it can slip & slide (I remember *that*, too!! LOL!!), but still stayed on top of the platform. Remember to get one with storage underneath if you can. My biggest regret was that I didn't do that right away and when I finally tried to, the company had gone out of business. It looks so much better with built-in drawers than just baskets or plastic, believe me.
