I own a home but find that the Property management company is so strict that I am fined every month. It takes a letter (registered of course) to defend ones self every month. I can be fined for weeds when there may be 2 small ones that just popped up. I dread getting the mail. I am not the only one having problems but some people who have apparent and blantant problems get nothing. Do I need to brib her personally or what. I hate living here. The board meetings are never convinent to go to ...I'm sorry I ever moved here into this modest community from an upscale one where the Management company would get out and pull the 2 weeds. This woman is on a power trip. Now with the heat (over 100) everyone is pouring water on their lawns and we are in a drought area. Also vast amounts of weed killer are used on their lawns so the management wacko doesn't fine them. Great for our ground water and the enviornment. Any suggestions.
PS Never buy a home in an area where they havean assoc.

OK so it's hotter than the blazes. Our ac is two inches too big for our window, and we're on the second floor facing west so it's hot hot hot. We have about four fans in our living room, and how can we make it cooler? What's the magic combination? Is there any way we can not be melting in here?

So what's important to you, when looking for a home, whether to buy or rent? Ifyou are buying, it may be one of the biggest decisions we make, not to mention financial... yet looking in the paper, looking on apartment sites or real estate sites, it seems like about all you can do is search for number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and maybe a few other features... but then you spend the next week... month... months looking at everything that doesn't meet your needs, but you didn't know until you looked at it... so it would help if they told us more about the apartment or home so we could cross it off the list without having to waste our time..... but what's really important? Neighborhood? Schools? Cable included? Ceiling fans in every room? Pool? Allow pets?

The answers are different for everybody, but maybe there are things that jump out as being important for a lot of people.... so what's really, critically, decision making important to you????
