im 20 year old female and i am in a commitied relationship but we're not redy to move together me and my mom are not getting along because i choose to stay out over night at my bf's here and there and she doesn't like that shes giving me an unltimatum so im planning on moving really soon. I dont know if i can deal with a roomate because i love my space but i have to do what i can afford RIGHT? maybe a studio might be a better idea? any advice? i do work full time and bring in a decent amount i can pay about 600 per month on my own

Do what you think is right. If you choose to have a roomate, make sure that you have some kind of written agreement as to the financial arrangements. If the lease is in your name, and your roomate stiffs you for the rent and/or utilities, you will be hard pressed to collect the money owed to you.
Best advice is to live by yourself if at all possible.

Truthfully, I would try to work out things with your mom so you have support worst case scenerio once you have moved out. If you want to move out, you are at a good age where you should be responsible enough to take care of yourself. However keep in mind everything that comes in living on your own; utilites, food, furniture, soooo many things. A roommate would be a good idea if you find someone you trust. I do not reccomend a stranger.

Mm...having room mate is not always bad! but of course you have to choose your room mate 1st, if you're getting along with them well...then why not? Maybe you can share apartment with your friends who are in the same boat with you or put an ad about the room, and pick on eligible candidate you really like...

I done that once....Im glad your not a guy because 2 years later I found out my roomate was gay. I was so ashamed of myself after that. But good luck to you.

i had a mate live me, after 3 months we now are not friends, he killed to of my cats and didnt pay rent, i would never do it again.
