For the past month or so my toilet hasn't really been flushing...I flush and usually the toilet paper will go down but the rest just swirls around. It flushes completely once out of every ten flushes or so, so whenever someone goes number 2 the toilet must be flushed over and over again before everything's gone. It used to flush perfectly and I know I haven't flushed anything down it that shouldn't have been flushed.

I live in an apartment and I guess if the problem doesn't get any better I'll have to call a maintenance man. Is it something that might take a while to fix or is it an easy fix? What caused it to stop flushing completely anyways? Anything I can do so that it doesn't happen again?

I spilled water in the control panel of my gas stove (it works by turning on the gas, then it clicks until it lights). It started clicking by itself and then fire popped up under the knobs, which then was replaced by smoke. Once the smoke died down, I tried turning on one of the burners but it just caused more fire and smoking under the knobs.

Anyway I can fix this without calling someone?
Will it fix itself?
Will I be able to use it tomorrow?

Desperate for any help. Thanks.

I need to drill a hole and thread it to accept the male end of a 5/16 brass fitting. I know that U.S. standard NPT (pipe thread) taps are slightly tapered. I can find 1/4 & 3/8 in NPT, but what do I use for 5/16?

I just bought a full-length mirror for my dorm room but we can't put nails into the walls so I was thinking about putting it on a wall or on the back of my door...will double-sided tape be enough? How should I hang it up? Thanks!!

I am trying to install a new thermostat but I want to make sure that I am doing this correctly. Does the power or hot wire always come through on the right side of an electrical box?

We bought a Whirlpool Gold Edition Side by Side Refrigerator, about 2 years ago. It has started this clicking noise in the back when the door is open. And the inside light in the Fridge part looks like it is shorting out. Both started at the same time. It does not make any noise while the door is shut. We have taped the door switch down and it will not make noise when it is open as long as the switch is pressed down. Both Fridge and Freezer are cooling properly. Any advice is appreciated.

I noticed your question and can not seem to get in contact with you, Anyways you stated that your using chopped down pine? That is a huge no no!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you burn pine the sap buildes up in your chimney known as creasote. This can catch your chimney and roof on fire, Do Not Burn Pine, I hope this finds it's way to you.

My house seems to have alot of electricity flotting around. EVERY time I touch a light sockeet to turn it off or on, it shocks me really bad. Even touching each other around the house gives off shocks. Its not just a light shock, sometimes it hurts. Its at the point where my son is scared to turn off the lights.

Is there something I should be considering with this? Is it dangerous?

Just bought one today from the body shop, but after it was lit for 5 mins, the oil started to give off thick black smoke like it was going to go on fire. Is this supposed to happen? It said on the instructions not to dilute the oil with water.
