GET the most expensive deck stain. Then read the requirements of the can. Also use the best outdoor type of wood...Like
REDWOOD or use a new material that never needs paint or stain it is called....TREX COMPANY HOME ...goto their home page. A good friend shared this with me. It really works!

50 degrees and higher and thats in a 24 hr period, meaning if it's 50 during the day and goes down to 40 at night thats not a good thing. I realize they have stain that you can paint as low as 35 degrees but I would'nt recomend it, stick with the 50 degrees and it will save you alot of hassel, remember your deck takes the most abuse from the elements and you'll want to do it right! good luck

Read the back of the can. It will tell you what their minimum application temperature is. Note: this is the absolute minimum. If you are at or below it the product may not perform the way it should... could.
