We sold our flat and are due to exchange contracts soon. In the meantime the flat roof has leaked and cracks appeared due to subsidence. Is it the responsibility of buyer to have their surveyor find these problems or is it reasponsibility of seller (me to fix up before completion?

I have an open type gas central heating system. With the heating on, the pipe before and after the pump are hot there is a 90 degree bend( with a bleed valve) after which the pipe is cold. This is the first time the heating has been "on" since last winter, the hot water is and has been fine. I have bleed all radiators no differeance, I drained the system then refilled and re bled still no differance. This happened (or something similar) a couple of years ago and the guys said an air lock and put in the bled valve at the 90 degree bend. Any ideas? Thanks

when we flush the toilet the water just keeps on running and has sometimes done this for the whole night. It doesn't seem to register when the flush system is full and the water runs into the overflow system

I moved in 3 weeks ago(upper darby,pa) but i acturally started to live here from this week. I found something in this apt is really not working properly.
- The wooden floor has a serious slant in the living room and one of the bedrooms. At some spot you can't even stand still.
- shower is so weak. Water only comes out little by little. I could hardly take a smooth shower.
- Bathroom is missing a mirror.
- closet door can't be closed and its falling off.
- bedroom door can't be closed and its falling as well.
- and the mice of course

and the wooden floor is really gross...
I reported the mice problem to the property manager and she only told me to get a cat...but i don't want to have any pets in my apt...what should i do? the lease is 1 yr and now i really want to get out from this place....this place is driving me crazy...before i moved in i put down $500 security deposit i want my money back too...Is it possible to break the lease without hurting my credit? how?thank yo

Lately the backdoor to my house has been really hard to open/close it. Sometimes we spray Pam (cooking oil) on it and it helps for a few days...but then back again. And lately it seems like there's sonething at the bottom which makes it even harder to close..and it jerks everytime we try to open/close it.
And also we just noticed that the bottom lock doesn't work, but the top does.
Is the lock not working a result from the problems we've been having with the door?
And is there any way we can fix it or do we have to get nother one?!

Thanks!

I had 70's track lighting in kitchen and I removed one set today to replace with newly purchased ceiling light. When I removed the the 1x12x48 board that the track lighting was connected to the ceiling with, I was left with electric wires poking thru existing ceiling with no electricle box. Is it saf to use and if so is ok to use wire nuts to connect all wires including grnd?
