try taking alot of folded paper towels putting bleach on them and lay them over the stain if you can then cover them with a bucket or something for the smell.

Don't use abrasives until you have exhausted all other options.

Try the bleach first. If chlorine bleach does not work try 30 volume hydrogen peroxide (wear rubber gloves). Leave on for as long as possible. If this does not work make a strong paste of laundry detergent powder (or liquid might do) and put this on. Leave as long as possible. It might take several days or two weeks to do much good. Lastly try vinegar or citric acid. The longer you leave these on the more likely they will be to work.

Leave the granite in strong sunlight for several days, or buy a cheap reading lamp and as powerful an ultra-violet (black light) bulb as you can find that will fit. Put the bulb in the lamp and arrange it to shine on the stained area. Shroud the region with cardboard to protect your eyes and don't let children look at or play with the lamp. Make sure the lamp cannot overheat from the shroud. Leave it on for several days.

The colour will have sunk into the granite so it will take a while to remove.
