You must be using oil based paint. Latex doesn't smell that bad for long. Try opening your windows, putting fans on. Exhaust fans.

The vinegar thing works well, and so does baking soda don't mix together though!!! that's a big no no. Burn scented candles in the room as well. If you want to help this before you paint there is a product called Paint Pourri. They have several scents that are very pleasing. You can add a-3 packs per gallon of paint based on how much you would like it to smell. a little vanilla works as well.

Check out the air purification systems from EcoQuest International. They generate ozone and ionization. The low levels of ozone react with the molecules that make up the paint fumes and the end result are molecules of fresh air! No more ozone and no more paint fumes. I did this when I stained and varnished some old dining room chairs. I left the air purifier on in the room I had used and the following morning all odors had been eliminated. Good luck!

Leave all the windows and doors open and place containers of bicarbonate of soda everywhere...this is good for absorbing any type of odors and it doesn't have an odor itself.
