Yes! My teenage daughter went through a phase of slamming a door and all the plaster cracked and fell quite dramatically as a result

Yes, we have a heavy front door which closes with the lightest of touch. It seems that everyone that visits slams the door, large cracks have appeared all around the door area.

Yes in my flat - the person in the flat above slammed their door, and I saw a big crack apear in my ceiling

Yes,

This normally happens on internal non-brick walls due to the flexibility of the materials used to build the wall (wood, plasterboard etc).

If you are concerned about a crack and think it might be something more serious draw a pencil line across it and keep an eye on it. If the pencil mark moves out of line it suggests movement in the house and you should contact a builder/surveyor.

yes , it will definetly shake the door frame and its possible to crack the ceiling

yep yep yep....my house looks like it's about to crumble into a million very small pieces!! i have had bulldozers and and 40tone lorrys working just outside my house ....building a new school and i have dozens of large cracks inside/outside of my house........... maybe living in a tent next week......!!!
