In Dallas-Texas area, I bought the house and have discovered quite a few cracks that have been patched up in the past, I think i even found a door that was sawed at the bottom!

Nothing was in the seller's disclosure :o( So i'm not sure what to think at this point.

Is there a good website with resources on this as well??

We bought a house recently, it's about 30 years old. We never asked the previous owners how to use the heat, stupid yes I know! It has central air that was installed about 15 years ago, the vents are in the ceiling, duct work in the attic/crawlspace.
Now, the heat. There are thermostats in each room, but no convectors, only one in the foyer and one in a basement room. The appraisal says "radiant heat". We turned on the thermostat in the bathroom (on high) and still felt nothing. My husband checked the wires and it is drawing ampage for something! But what we have no idea. Also, our hot water heater is electric.
Can anyone tell me how this might work? What are we doing wrong?

I always noticed a damp smell in my London living room but did not know what caused it. When I decided to replace my carpet I lifted the carpet + underlay and I found a small area of damp/wet floorboards around the stone hearth from the previously blocked up chimney. I checked that there was no leaking pipe + I had my chimneys capped with covers incorporating vents for airflow. I have a number of air bricks to allow air flow under the floorboards. But the damp patch has returned! What is the cause?

It has a small blemish, I am afraid it will snap if if I keep messing around with it. Its a very delicate material.Should i just leave it alone or is there some way to fix it up?

I have tried everything to get rid of fruit flies from my store, but they keep on appearing all over the place. I even had an exterminator come in, but that didn't help much? Any tips on getting rid of them. I'm also making sure to clear all drainage.

The power source is a power pole located at the back of the property. The RV uses a 30-amp breaker at the power source because of the microwave and roof-mounted AC. The breaker in the RV is also 30-amp for the air conditioner. This wire is to be buried.
