HAve you ever used this? I bought some for a really bad clog in my tub, and it took half of the bottle to get the problem fixed. How do I know if it caused any permanant damage to my pipes. Also I had to put bleach down the drain as well because I had to clean the tub out..Nasty shower water that sat stagnate for 1 1/2 days ewww.

You'll only know if the pipes start leaking.

FYI: Most clogs in showers, tubs, and bathroom sink drains are caused by hair. You can buy something called a "ZIP-IT" from Home Depot. It's a long flexible piece of plastic with barbs along the edge. You just fish it down the drain and pull it back up a few times. All the hair gets caught in it. No more chemicals!

P.S. NEVER EVER mix bleach with other cleaners. Noxious gases can form and inhaling them can kill you.

i would never recommend this type of treatment for a simple clogged drain but it seems the mass media (commercials) says that this is the way to go. they cry and moan that chemicals are ruining the earth then promote them to unclog your drains, don't make much sense to me. the best way to unclog the tub is to get a hand auger at the local big box hardware store, the people there can show you how to use it and you will be the talk of the neighborhood because you can do a very simple job that would cost you an arm an a half a leg to get a plumber to do it.

strong sulfuric acid can melt plastic pipes but would have done it under the sink and you would know it by now
