Is it a thick or wide blade variety?

One tree grew tall and skinny this year, one grew more full, a little shorter, and the trunk even was larger. The shorter one leans a little and the base of the trunk is starting to lose its bark. It is still very strong at the trunk, but the bark is coming off about the first 6 inches of the tree. Would the weight of the tree(I planted it this spring) and the rapid first year growth cause this tree to stress like this?? I have since staked both trees to stop them leaning.

The neighbors who border my southern side fence have twin boys who've taken to pegging stones into my antique birdbath. They stand on this makeshift pirate ship swing set and toss them over into my yard. When one lands in the basin they shout, "TWO POINTS FOR LARRY BIRD!" I think they are making fun of either myself (my name is Larry) or it might be a bird they've chosen to personify. How do I admonish them? My wife Lu and I aren't exactly kid friendly. Thanks!

I have four castor bean plants and one is producing bright red spikey orbs that must be seed pods. Do I wait till first frost or should just forget about them. I live in SE Montana and people want seeds from me. I've told them to just order from a seed catalog but they want mine!!!

When I was little, at school during recess, I think in the spring.. The kids used to pick these little pea/bean pod-type plants off of these bushes. Except, instead of having two halves to the pod, like peas or string beans, they had 3 or 4. When you held them near the stem and squeezed them, the beans popped out, usually at a high rate of speed and fast enough to feel if you got hit by the beans. We used to aim them at eachother and shoot eachother with them. They were about an inch long and I think light green. We used to call them "popping beans". I have never seen anything like them since I left that school. Does anyone know of any plant like that or what it might be called?

I know this is a really dumb question, but my mind's gone blank. What is that stuff that farmers put on their crops to kill bugs and all that junk? It starts with a 'P'.

I live in Nebraska and planted grass seed in a small area in my yard. I hope it isn't to late to grow properly.

How many days do I have to wait to see the first growth?

during the summer the arbs were a perfect emerald color, and now that fall is here, they look kinda dull and a little rusty like, but mostly green. is this because its fall and the weather is changing.
