I just bought this plant and I want to know what it is to make sure its not dangerous in case my cat eats it. Its green with a little yellow and a reddish purplish color.

Coleus, should be safe for cats, though they will eat it.

It's a coleus. These are SO easy to propagate. You can stick a cutting in water and it will root. Very hardy plants.

coleous - in illinois it is an outdoor/bedding plant. no it is not poisonous.
