Pixie is right. Lime should be added to the soil, if necessary, PRIOR to seeding a lawn. You should not add it after seeding.
Good luck!

WHY?
That's my question with everything in the garden. Why do it? Will it do anything? Is it needed?
I can't think of a reason to put lime on a newly seeded lawn. Maybe if you live in a dry bog? What is your soil pH? Unless it is like 5 or more acidic...but then you probably won't get new seeds sprouting. You would have to till in the lime.
Light layer of fine compost, or a liquid fert with pH adjusters in it, but after the grass has grow for a few months.

You can apply dolomite without burning the grass. You can buy pelletized dolomite (which is easy to spread), or just spread finely ground (white) dolomite and wash in with water.
It takes at least 2 weeks for lime to react with the soil and effect a pH change, so the better time to apply it would have been a couple of weeks prior to seeding (best laid plans :) ).
On the other hand, the soil pH is not going to affect the seed germination, unless the soil pH is way out of whack. Personally I would not worry about the lime application right now, it is not that critical for grass. Concentrate on keeping that new seed well watered to get good germination. You can put the lime on any time and get the full benefit.
