It is growing up through our lawn and in other parts of the garden. I have managed to dig some of the roots out but each year more and more seem to spring up.

How can I get catterpillars to stay away from my plants without using insectiside, etc? Don't believe in killing any kind of animal.

I got one as a gift for Thanksgiving. The blooms are beginning to drop off (but the rest is still healthy and green). Do I just let them fall off and keep watering it or does it need some cutting? I don't know how to care for this flower. Any help is appreciated.

I have a yard full of Black Locust trees that I would like to get rid of. They are hard to cut down and even when you do, the stumps are very difficult to pull or eliminate.

I have a bougainvillea indoors, it has bloomed exactly one time in 3 years. I have fertilized it, repotted it, water it very infrequently and still it will not bloom. In the winter I sit it in my office which has double pained windows but does get sun at least 3 hours daily. any suggestions?

I grew my own tomatoes from seed last year and they were very succesful. We are moving house and I am getting a lovely big garden. I want to start a very small veg patch and a herb garden. Could anyone please give me guidance on what would be good for me to grow as a beginner, bearing in mind I wish to use the produce in the kitchen (ie no marrows please!) Could you also give me tips regarding where to place the patch (against a wall, in sunniest spot etc) and details about soil - I'm not sure of the soil type but the hydrangeas are pink (I believe this can tell you something) and its in Rastrick in West Yorkshire.

Many thanks for all you help x

I found this plant at a wal-mart store and now can't find any info on it. The plant looks like it should be a succulant. It almost looks like an aloe plant but no matter where we look no info. This plant is suppose to be the 2005 European plant of the year.

Can someone kind enough to tell me about the height of a tree allowed in your garden before your neighbour can complain under the recent legislation and have they got the right to cut the tree down without your permission.
