I think this would look awesome since it would match the bronze drawer pulls. I have heard that the patina can be toxic. Or is just drinking from copper pipes that is bad? Advice please.

I have a 9ft. couch, and I'm looking to move four states away soon and don't want to take it along. It's still very usable, but there is a piece of wood snapped at the bottom that's not fixable. I want to know how to get rid of it. I'm not sure if the Salvation Army or Good Will would take it.

Not tha green patina, but that dull unpolished look.
Is there some solution you can dip it in or spray on? Non toxic household solutions would be great if possible!

Thanks to all!!!

I am remodeling my bathroom and would like a fan that will vent through the roof. This is normally not a big deal, but I'm a little unsure how to properly seal the vent to a metal roof. Is there a product designed to do this?

Hello

I have an old wooden staircase that I am painting white. If I leave the paint as it is, it will get damaged when people walk on it. I want to put another layer of varnish on top of the paint, to act like a protective layer (and also make it glossy).

If possible, I would really like to use a 100% natural product (no synthetics) with no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Does Tung Oil fit the bill? Can I place a natural oil over a painted surface?

Also, does it make a difference if I use water-based (emulsion) or oil-based (gloss/satin) paint for the white?

Thanks.

i was looking to buy a 1600 square foot house, my first home, but was baffled at what they cost in my area already built (145k) so i was thinking about contracting one out myself, my question is, a simple plan 1 story 1600 square foot house with an attached 2 car garage----something like this

http://details.coolhouseplans.com/details.html?pid=chp-18627&FoundID=22&sid=chp23

if i could come out a whole lot better just contracting it out and getting it into the dry and doing the majority of the inside work myself, plumbing, wiring, insulating, flooring etc etc, ive got some experience with the majority of these due to working with my dad a lot, and if i ran into anything i wasnt sure would pass inspection i could just get him to come out and help me with it

....sorry to ramble, but any how, i was thinking that house on a crawlspace...i could probably save a ton compared to what that house would sell for (approx 145k) already constructed in my area, is this a good prediction?
