start with a thin piece of plywood, that can be clamped to the jig saw table. With the edge of base plywood, measure the radius of the circle desired, install a finishing nail with the distance between the nail and blade equal to radius of circle to be cut. Take piece to be cut into circle, drill small pilot hole for the nail to stick through and insert onto the finishing nail. The piece will pivot slowly around this radius allowing the jig saw to cut a perfect circle. Good luck.
