Not tha green patina, but that dull unpolished look.
Is there some solution you can dip it in or spray on? Non toxic household solutions would be great if possible!

Thanks to all!!!

you can use vinegar or other very mild acid (lemon juice etc)on it to get a nice patina of verdigris, you may have to apply it a few times to get the look you want.

If you put it outside in the elements, it will lose its shine in a few days or weeks, depending on the weather. If you'd like to do it quickly, wet a sponge or a cloth and wipe it down. Let it air dry. Repeat the process until you have the look you want. Or spray it with a fine mist sprayer. You'll also have some success putting it in the bathroom where steam from showers can get to it. Moisture is the key to tarninshing brass.

Most companies use black paint, you then simply wipe the pain away and black pain is left in the small crevices of whatever you want to look aged, this also won't corrode the metal like acids will, giveing the material a longer lifespan.

um... my friend's mom had her and her siblings pee in a bucket i think. She wanted her guters to look antique. Somehow she got the pee on the guters. maybe she used some gloves and a sponge. I know, thats really strange isn't it!
