Shipping to Indonesia by seafreight to cut cost. Payment by MasterCard or PayPal in US $. Used or new, either is okay. Preferably made of stainless steel and motor driven since those one made of plastic gear material worn-out easily.in use.

When do you know you have to find the stud to attach things to a wall? For example, if you wanted to attach a:

1) picture
2) shelf
3) mirror
4) towel hanger

In what cases do you have to find the stud in order to attach these?

I recently bought an old house, built in 1892. I've been scraping wallpaper, getting ready to paint. All of the walls have been plaster over lathe. I recently found a signiture on a wall under the wallpaper that was dated May 28, 1945. All the walls have the same wallpaper on them. But now I've encountered a wall that seems to have been built with some sort of drywall... but it really seems like it's almost a cardboard like material. It feels soft, and pourous. I've already started peeling the wallpaper, so I can't leave it. Can I paint directly over this material? Does anyone know what it might be?

What is the difference between mastic and morter?

i no the main differences but in the way that it dries.
Additional Details

ok i wasnt specifc enough. i no what they are and to the first answer yes morter is flexible most tile morter has latex in it to give it flex. mastic is to be used for tiles up to 8x8, you can use it for bigger tiles but it takes longer to dry. morter is a thinset morter and usually uses the moisture from the surface to cure. i remember a vendor ( i work at menards) telling me it was because they set up differently, i think the mastic takes longer because it uses the air to help itself dry while the morter uses the moisture from the underlayment. is this correct???

I want to use granite tile for my countertops, but I'd like to have an undermounted sink. Are the tiles thick enough to do that, and how would it look? If anyone has any pictures or sites that they could send me, that'd be great. Would this be a job better suited for solid slab granite?

I was setting up my underground temporary power pole and the inspector didn't approve it. His notes are...

INSTALL MAIN BONDING JUMPER.( #8 AWG COPPER FROM NEUTRAL BAR TO EQUIPMENT GROUNDING BAR).

2005 NEC 250 .28 -(D)

Do I just connect my grounding rod to the metal case/can? Or is this a copper wire that connects the neutral and grounding bars? The grounding rod should connect to the bar that is screwed directly into the can right? Then there is a jumper that connects that bar to the neutral bar? Does that sound right?

We are installing Laminate flooring in our house and the room we are starting in is not square. We are also installing it in a continuous fashion, so there won't be a threshold between rooms. If we follow the far wall where we are starting, the other side will be angled. Worse yet, the hallway that joins the rooms will also be very off.

I would like to add crown molding to my house and would prefer to do it myself to save money. I have never done anything like this and plan to do the guest room first to work out any kinks.

Any tips, suggestions, good DIY websites or books, etc. would be appreciated.

I'm painting most of the rooms in my house and I'm having problems with getting paint on the ceiling and trim. I am using the blue painters tape but when I remove it, the paint has seeped through or the tape pulls at the paint. Any suggestions?

I am also painting the trim and finding it very tedious. I have a drop cloth over my carpet, but it not adequate. Is there an easier way to paint it?

Any and all painting tips are appreciated!

We're renting a house and that's what we have for heat. There's an inch gap in the front across the whole heater for the hot air to come out of. He can easily stick his fingers in there and burn them! I'm trying to figure out if there's something I can buy. I was thinking of a long baby gate, but there's no walls for it to hold on to. I would have to run the gate from one side of the room to the other and block off the door. It's just not possible. Any ideas?

I'm need a hole dug in my back yard...it's going to be 15' x 12' x 36" deep. Nothing special, just dirt...

I have one estimate from an acquaintance who's in that line of work, but it seems a bit high for 'digging a hole'.

Can someone ballpark for me what something like this should cost?
