I bought a pair of used Paradigm Reference speakers which are in mint condition, except they have a streaky drip of white latex paint running down one of the edges. Ugh!! I know it doesn't matter, but any ideas how to get it off without defacing the speaker at all? Or should I just leave it alone. These are very expensive speakers and I definitely don't want to devalue them stupidly by trying to take off this paint. Any ideas?

We have a cement slab as a "patio", and i am interested in having large terra cotta patio stones put in . Do we need to have the cement broken up and removed, or can we lay the stones right on top of the cement? Each stone weights 32 lbs. so they are not going anywhere. I thought maybe this would insure that the base was level, if we leave the cement, and would be less work for us.

I prep the walls by using TSP and taking off the gloss from the old paint.

Then I prime the walls.

I have seen on home improvement shows that they do not clean the walls before priming, they just prime and then paint.

Am I doing it the correct way?

What are the procedures for preparing the walls for primer?

If not, did you paint over it?
Im removing wallpaper from a kitchen that was wallpapered directly to the drywall and its going veeeeery slowly.
Does anyone have any tips? I have a paper tiger, and I have the wallpaper loosening solution, and it helps but not much.
Conversly has anyone painted over this stuff with good results? did you perhaps seal up the gaps with something?

Our in-ground hot tub won't work. I had it started, and the jets working but then it just shut off and tripped the breaker for the master bathroom. The control boxes are in the basement under the hot tub and I've never worked with them. Do I have a short or is it something electrical? Any advice or tips. If you know about hot tubs PLEASE HELP me, your advice would be greatly appreciated!
