Use GREEN painter's tape on adjacent walls...green painter's tape is the lower-tack version of painter's tape and will not remove paint when it is removed.

Also, paint those adjacent walls on different days, using a high quality paint brush along the taped edges.

You may also want to run a utility knife along the edge when you go to remove the tape from the wall...this separates the paint from the tape.

My advice is DON'T. I tried that look years ago and all you end up doing is noticing how crap your finish is ... believe me. Painting adjacent walls the same colour is the only way to go !!! Another painting word of advice - NEVER paint a room lime green (I have thousands more DO NOTS when it comes to paint advice ... I wonder if I could get a book contract???) :-)

Its been my experience that just do it very slowly, and if you get some paint on the adjacent wall, make sure to have a wet rag with you to instantly wipe it off. It works well for me!

Blue tape, the painter's friend! Use it to mask off one wall at a time.

i would take a piece of wood (2x4 preferrably), cut it at an angle, slide it against the corner, and start painting. move the 2x4 up/down while painting.
