What are some ways to help prevent my clothes from shrinking when I wash them at home? I have trouble getting pants to not shrink, even when I buy the no-shrink pants. Does cold water help to prevent shrinkage of any clothes item? Hot water? Is there a certain length of time that I should leave things in the dryer? Should I hang things outside to dry? Should I wash everything by hand? Tell me everything you know.

Last Halloween, a pumpkin rotted on my breezeway table, fell to the concrete floor and split. The contents naturally spilled out, I cleaned it up but am left with a black stain on the concrete on which I have used bleach, 409 and cleanser. I'm thinking I'll have to get something like BULLS EYE and paint over it. Any ideas?

I have never found a way to clean them effectively that is not a huge hassle, but I have to admit I haven't really tried all that hard, so any ideas you have will probably be new to me.

I've read tht you can use baking soda+bleach+water to remove those stains. The home depot guy told me I can't...so wht's the best solution? By the way, I've tried bleach and I can't paint it...it's a phone ;)

When I buy a nice sweater or something I always think grimly, Well, it won't look like that for long. I seem to destroy clothes just by washing them and wearing them. I'm serious. I wash in cold water with a liquid detergent and then hang them on the line outside until they are dry. What am I doing wrong?

I just want my wood floors shiny and clean and not to leave the bottom of my socks black. They get too dirty easily and swiffer only works so much.

i remember my mom saying that if it foams up it is doing it's job at cleaning the clothes, most detergents nowadays do not foam up as much as they did back then.
