Ammonia in water is the best to use but if you cannot take the fumes vinegar is a great substitute. Either of these are not expensive and are ideal if you are doing this professionally. You would need to buy window cleaners such as Windex by the gallon and probably use them by the gallon with lesser results.
There is no substitute for ammonia or vinegar.

There are many answers that suggest amonia and water, which is correct,BUT most people make the mistake of using way too much amonia. In one quart of water, use only about 2 tablespoons of amonia. It will look like pale colored lemonade. If you use too much, you will defeat the purpose of the cleaning power of the amonia.Be sure to have plenty of clean white rags to wipe the squeegee EVERY TIME you sweep over the glass. You can use paper towels, but you are cutting into your profits that way.Cotton rags can be laundered for continuous use.Do not let your squeegee get worn out either.Change the blade when you are no longer getting a clean sweep.Good Luck

I'm just lending my household experience (not a professional), after trying all of the available glass cleaners and other spray cleaners in the grocery stores in our area, I've found nothing, absolutely nothing that cleans without streaks, except for one.....Windex. It's the only one I buy for cleaning glass.

a vinegar based glass cleaner should not streak. you can always rinse the windows with warm water then squeegee.
just get a spray bottle and fill it with hot water and spray after you first clean the glass.
hope it works.

Use windshield washer fluid - esp. in winter it won't freeze up.
Throw in a drop of Dawn dishsoap if REALLY dirty. Finish off with the Windshield washer fluid.
Have fun making $$$$$$

White vinegar and water. And after you squeegee, finish up by polishing with newspaper. Seriously.

Windex works well. Surprisingly, newspaper with a mixture of vinegar and water works great - no streaks (if you can stand the smell of vinegar).

The truth is you can make your own "Streak Free" with witch hazel and water in a spray bottle. It works on carpet spots too.
