You should probably hand wash them. The washing machine might be a bit too much for the stitching and whatnot--more control when washing in the sink by hand.

No you can't wash them-There is a better product that you can buy in any Kmart or Walmart called "Dryel". It's a home dry-cleaning system for about $10.00. But it's worth it,
You can clean pillows and delicate items in it,
It's basically a big bag that goes into the dryer with something that resembles a dryer sheet, but it has dry cleaning chemicals on it.
Follow the directions on the package. You pop it into your dryer for like 10 minutes, and all of your items have been dry cleaned.
It's great !

no - they will be ruined. all the beans will start a revolt and run for the hills. HA!
there are some stuffed beanies that can be, the tag will say so.
you can surface wash just about any stuffed critter. take a damp cloth and wipe. if that doesn't work then use a few drops of dish detergent on the cloth. not too much! then wipe again with another clean damp cloth. take a soft towel to do a final wipe and fluff. this should work. there are products available specially made for surface cleaning of stuffed animals, but good luck in finding it.

I love Hippity! I even remember Hoppity and Floppity too :)
I don't think you should toss them into a machine washer they will undoubtedly go for a risky tumble if you do. I recommend a shallow basin and a gentle detergent like Woolite so they can sit and soak for awhile. Every so often just run in and give them a gentle hand wash as they soak. Then let them soak in clear water to rinse them out. They'll be guaranteed safe that way- and its always better safe than sorry, right?

I've always washed ALL of my daughter's stuffed animals. I put them into a pillow case, tie up the end with a rubber band, and throw it into the washing machine. I also throw the whole "bag" into the dryer. I've yet to have one fall apart or turn into a fluff ball.

I have washed several in the washing machine. I tie them in a pillow case or mesh laundry bag, and wash on normal. I have never had any problems. My kids had several "favorites" that did not look very clean after being drug around all day, so I tried it and it worked. I let them air dry on top of the dryer or on the clothes line. I would not use the dryer. They have poly and acrylic in them and will "melt" Good luck!!

I've washed many of my children's beanies in a lingerie bag, on the gentle cycle, in cold water (I've added Oxi-Clean sometimes, when they're really dirty looking), and I've dried them on low heat in my electric dryer. They've always turned out fine!

as long as a stuffed animal doesnt have wires or batteries, usually beans and stuff are safe to wash and dry. It will ruin any value the have as beanie babies tho.

I have washed mine on the hand wash/gentle cycle in a pillow case and it came out just like new. I also let it air dry.
