Has anyone used the mouse traps where once the mouse goes in, it shuts it and kills it, so you don't have to see it? I can't stand the sight of a dead mouse, so am very interested in this kind. Are they a lot more expensive than the old fashioned ones?

Friends of my parents live about 10 blocks from us. Since they are away most of the time at their other house, they said my and my two sisters can use the pool in their backyard.

The problem is, since they are not home, their house is locked. This means we can't get to the bathroom when we need to pee. It's too far and too cold to run all the way back to our house.

Could we pee in the yard somewhere (it is fenced for good privacy) or even in the pool?

I don't need the really, really thick kind, I just need small squares of it. Thin and tiny, because I really don't need the big ones. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get them or how much it might cost me. Where can I buy it, and how much would each cost?

We have an Oster Breadmaker. Its worked fine up until the last three or four uses. Some type of machine oil? seems to be coming from the bottom/paddle which leaves minor black streaks all over the dough no matter how many times we try to clean it. What could be happening?

There are many ideas floating around out there, I really don't care if the answer is manipulative, or polite, clever or down right sneaky. I just need a bunch of ideas to try to get two members of my family to sort of ... learn to enjoy being organized.

Now I already heard one idea I am trying. Put the container to corral a mess at the site the mess happens!! Great... but now I have a messy container there.

Well at least it isn't all over the house right?? Well...... jump in with all your ideas.

By the way, I am a female.... and the two other members are males... does that give you a clue? I know... Mars and Venus.
Well that aside, I really need the help and I am nearly beside myself.

We moved to the current address a couple of years ago, after living in one house for fully 30 years. We cut our junk by half and still have another half to go. I make trips regularly to the Goodwill. HELP ME IF YOU CAN!!! (Does that sound like a song?)

I wear shirts, socks, and underwear just once before I throw them in the hamper. Pants, jeans, or sweaters usually 2 or 3 days. And for heavier jackets that need to be dry cleaner, possibly up to 7 times before I have them laundered, depending on how fast they get stinky.

I don't see how people can keep their clothes smelling fresh and clean all the time. I have a cousin with a bunch of clothes in her closet and they are all bunched up next to each other, and she probably hasn't washed or laundered most of them in ages, yet when she pulls them out for me to try on they smell so clean and fresh.

My clothes on the other hand get stinky and smelly pretty quick, no matter what I do or don't do. Not that they get dirty, but they just start to age and get all musty. Febreeze might help a little bit, but not like a fresh wash would do. So how do people keep their clothes smelling so clean and fresh all the time? I'm not going to spray all my clothes with perfume either.

Vice versa as well. what could the problem be? i have a 50 gallon water heater. do i need a pressure increaser or something?

I can't tell weather my toilet is leaking from the shut off valve/ water supply line or the fill valve (entering the tank). Is there a good way to tell? Its such a slow leak I can't really seems to tell by looking at it.

I'm talking about inside (bottom) of a pot, not outside. I left it on the burner when the burner was on (but the pot was empty). It's a high-end pot from Royal Prestige. Regular scrubbing didn't help. It's not badly burnt, but definitely visible. Any tricks? Thanks!

Let's say I let kitchen scraps dry out and then burned them. Would the ashes be just as nutritious as compost left by bacteria of similar kitchen scraps? Burning them would be faster than letting them sit for weeks to make compost and I just wanted to know if they are both good for gardens or if they are the same basic thing. Thanks.

I had Sears over for a siding quote. The sales person said that cement fiber is heavy and with all the shifting of soil we have in San Antonio the heaviness of the hardi plank will make my frame more likely to crack when the foundation shifts. Was he telling me this because they only do siding or does he have a valid point?
Another question
Also, I watched Southwest Exteriors hit hardiplank with a hammer on TV and nothing happened to it. But I just went to view a house for sale that was built in 2006. The cement fiber siding had several dents in it. So are some cement fiber planks better quality than others?

One more question. My house is pretty close to my neighbors house and when they play their TV or radio, the sound radiates through my wall. Is there something that would reduce that noise?
