I prefer to start out watching channels on tv like DIY and HGTV. Then check out some books. After lots of studying visit a specialist and they will help you with the rest of your questions.

Most companies that supply interlock products also have information about how to lay a proper base and install their products. I'm not sure what companies supply these products in your area but you can check out these two that I use:

Just remember...the base is the most important part so do it right!

try the diy channel or you can access their web site and you can get step by step answers. You could also go to your local library and check out books on the subject. Good Luck.
