I just had to ask a random question like this.........

Most likely ,I may know the answer to this , but I am wondering specifically ....because in the area I live there are 1970's and newer mobile homes , here. Also I just replaced my gas water heater , about a year and a half ago. I have had no problems and I drain (every 6 mths ,the build up , that is) and check for leaks and such. Any help would be appreciated.

In in Canada here, and would like to get a loan for 100 to 200K for either buying a house, or if not that than for investing in GIC's or something (it provides tax benefits). I'll be switching jobs soon, so I'd like to get the pre-approval before I move jobs in mid January. Any tips? I won't be buying a house right away but I don't want the job switch to scare off lenders. Thanks

I have had 3 vacuums die in about 5 years. I clean them out, take them apart to look for clogs but after a while they just don't work very well anymore. Right now I am stuck with a 6 month old vacuum that doesn't really work very well. I am wondering if that is a very common experience.

What vacuum do you love over the long haul?

I have this engine on my go kart, and one day I tried to start it with the choke on and it started jumping. It had never done that before. Then when I tried to turn off the choke the engine would die. I figured out that if I try and start the engine with the choke off and give it gas it will run but when I try and stop the engine dies instead of idling. If anyone knows how I could fix this problem that would be great.

The carpet in the living and dining room is burgundy and my furniture is a cream color, walls are currently a mauve color, I need a new color without having to replace the carpet right now. Would like all one color with an accent wall. Any suggestions?

I have had the X10 system almost since it was invented and I'm concerned about not being able to dim these new bulbs, or turn them on and off for that matter, using the X10 modules. I often dim lights while watching television . Furthermore, I have a motion sensor in my home that turns a light on when entering the room and it does not work with the new type light bulbs.

My friend has spilt wax over my expensive glass table, and made it worse by rubbing it all with hot water, it now looks like a skating rink. Anybody out there with any ideas. Thanks.

I have a 40 year old house with some odd wiring.

Yesterday I discovered that I've been regularly running a 30 amp load on a 15 amp circuit. The circuit breaker won't trip until I run over 30 amps on it.

Is the breaker old or defective and in need of replacement?

I'm redistributing electrical load more appropriately, but I'd like to know if I need to work on the breaker box as well. I certainly don't need to burn my house down.

Thanks for your help.
