I need a change and want to paint my living room and kitchen. The problem is that I have catheral ceilings and my kitchen, living room and dinning room are all open. The carpet in the living and dining room is burgundy and my furniture is a cream color, walls are currently a mauve color, I need a new color without having to replace the carpet right now. Would like all one color with an accent wall. Any suggestions?

You could paint it a bone color and texture it. You don't want to go too far from neutrals with the burgundy carpet. If you painted it bone it would really open everything up.

i would go for an antique white since it is hard to match your burgundy rug.antique white is a rich creamy awsome white you can do a burgundy as an accent wall how about that do the largest wall as you accent one your home will look fresh and beatyful thats only my advice when you go to the paint store they will show you the differant shadfes of antique white they have i do not want you to think it is a white it is not it is more than a white it is rich creamy

How about pale yellow walls with a gold accent wall; or
powder blue walls with a smoke blue accent wall, or
pale sage walls with a hunter green accent wall, or
dusty rose with a burgundy wall, or
aqua with a turquoise wall, or
ivory walls with:
rose
gold
sage
aqua
smoke blue
caramel accent.
