I just got a glass L desk it says it has a 50lb weight limit, is that for the whole desk or each piece of glass? also is that just a recommended weight and what weight would it most likely shatter at, its 1/4 inch tempered glass got it from office max. Right now i have about 45Lb all spread out on it is that o.k?

Thanks

This may seem like a dumb question to all you becky homeky's and interior decorators, but i was just wondering if there may have been some kind of advances in "interior decorating technology" that would allow me to blacken my ceiling in a cleaner, less messy fashion.

I painted my kitchen a deep red (satin finish) with Valspar pain from Lowes. It looks pretty darn good. I was afraid it would be a streaky mess but actually turned out great with a dark grey primer undereneath. There is however one wall that has like 3 streaks on it. Do you think it would fix the streaks to repaint that wall with another coat of red or would i run too great a risk of making it look really streaky with a second coat?

I want my daughters room to be pink and purple but i am not sure if the idea I have for the painting is a good style move or bad. I want to paint two walls pink and the other two walls purple so that the walls that face each other are the same color. Thank you.

I watched some room makeover show a while back where the host built a shallow box to sit ontop of a dresser to function as the changing table. After the baby is older, you just take it off. My husband has agreed to tackle the project, but I'd really like to give him some step by step directions. Obviously, the directions would need to be adjusted according to the size of the dresser, but should be the same everywhere else. Where can I find these directions?

I'm installing air conditioning, heater and ventilator for my home garage. Probably 3 separate units (unless you know of a unit that will do all three functions). To limit the amount of holes into my 100 amp garage sub panel, and since I will only use the above one at a time, can I run wire for the largest of the three loads to a junction box. And the power for each will be taken from this junction box (split). An air/vent/heat thermostat will control all three so that it's only possible to run one of the three at a time. Can I run the control wires thru the sub panel in the garage? Is this all ok with the NEC? If not, please site source.

What do I do?

Please help me. Mom's really mad.

Key word here being NEED and not other frivolous stuff like Cable TV, Internet, Cell Phone, etc that will just suck the money out of me.

Here are some things that I think I need, please pitch in and help me complete my list so I know how much money I am looking at to complete my move in.

Basic apartment stuff:
Telephone service
Telephone and answering machine
Iron and ironing board
Mop and bucket
Vacuuming machine
All-purpose cleaner
Floor lamps

Bedroom/Living Room:
Bed and bedding materials

Kitchen:
Table and chairs
Frying pan and soup pan
Plates, bowls, and cups
Forks, knives, spoons
Dish-washing sponge and soap
Dish-drying rack

Bathroom:
Toilet bowl cleaner
Toilet bowl brush
Toilet plunger
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Hair brush and products
Towels and floor mats

Anything I'm missing? I just want to cover my very basics and then when I save up some money I can buy other stuff that I want and don't necessarily need to survive and work.

I bought T3 -130V halogen bulbs for my fixture. The instructions say I need the T3's 78mm, but does not say what voltage that I need. Should I be getting 110 or 120V? Do they even exist? Canada uses 110/120v correct? What's the difference?

I am trying to find the name of the piece of antique furniture that looks like three barrow type chairs, all attched and placed in a curved line with two facing forward and one facing backward. Do you know the name? Please let me know if you do. I am trying to locate one in good condition, but don't know what to call it. As yahoo answers does not have a catagory for antiques, I have to put it in home and garden, so please don't write me and tell me it is in the wrong category, this is a close as it gets. Thanks for your help.
